RUNAWAY TEEN CHaLLENGE

THE "RUNAWAY TEEN CHALLENGE" --- Welcome to one of the best challenges out there... the "RUNAWAY TEEN CHALLENGE"!

[CREDIT MUST BE GIVEN: ..... A link directly to this challenge ( which should begin with: http://sims4challengesrules.blogspot.com ) must be displayed on any page you post this... even in a Youtube description. (since I have reformatted, tweaked, added Difficulty Levels to this challenge, + changed/added the point system, etc., thereby creating this new version of the Challenge).]

[ Just as you give me credit, I'm giving credit to the creators of the previous versions of this challenge. For the Sims 3 version: StardustX , + For The Sims 4 Version (without points + Difficulty Levels): @Rainydayz179

*********************************

 INTRO:

*********************************

( In This Version: I have specially created , Difficulty Levels, + points and changed a few things to either make it flow better, or make it more/less challenging where needed. )

The goal is to survive: You are simply trying to survive + start a "good" life for yourself.

You should aim for having a "high paying job" (a level 7,8,9,10), children (at least 2) and a "big house" (at least: 1 kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms). The main thing you are doing is getting money the old way by fishing, gardening and collecting... oh, and of course, searching the neighborhood for free food. Getting married is optional for this challenge.

*********************************
 RUNAWAY TEEN CHALLENGE

 STARTING OUT:
*********************************
  • Make your "main" Sim. (They shouldn't look glamorous... they should look like a runaway.)

  • * You can have any traits, but not one that will help you (like "loves the outdoors") Also, Potion traits, purchased traits, other unnatural traits, or anything that changes moods unnaturally ARE NOT allowed.

  • * Start off on a lot that is 20x15 or more.

  • * Set your money to $0 (UPDATE 11/2/14) : Simply use this money cheat for Sims 4 (everything written in purple): 1st hold down the Shift Ctrl + C buttons to open up the cheat box at the top left corner of your game screen, then type:

  • Next, enter the following cheat into the box: money 0
For Specialist + Legendary Difficulty Levels Only
(seen toward the bottom of this page)...
You'll need to make your "main" Sim's baby-sister/baby-brother also at this point
. They shouldn't look glamorous... they should look like a runaway. They also shouldn't look like your "main" Sim (unless they're Twins of course) For this Sim as well, you can have any traits, but not one that will help you (like "loves the outdoors") Also, Potion traits, purchased traits, other unnatural traits, or anything that changes moods unnaturally ARE NOT allowed.].

        (Creating The Teen's Parent --- optional ) --->

You Can Choose To Skip This Section If Your Game Allows You To Simply Create Your Teen Sim {and optionally teen/child sibling}, and go to  the following section called "Rules"... please note, though, some Simmers find this Parent section to be very fun as well, even if it's unnecessary.  Others may feel it adds to the realism of this challenge....so it's your choice.
      • Make the Sim's guardian/parent however you want, it doesn't matter, so don't put too much work at all into it, since they'll have to be killed off as soon as the game begins. (The reason they need to be created at all, is that the game won't let you make a teen-only household- (UPDATE 11/2/14: this also makes it so you CAN'T simply edit them out as I stated previously before this update.)

        • You MUST kill the Sim's guardian/ parent as soon as the game starts SO HERE'S HOW --->>

(UPDATE 11/2/14): Here's the new way, the old way didn't work correctly ---> You'll have to enter this cheat which IS ALLOWED (everything written in purple) 1st hold down the Shift Ctrl + C buttons to open up the cheat box at the top left corner of your game screen, then type:

          testingcheats true

Next, enter the following cheat into the box
            sims.add_buff buff_Death_ElderExhaustion_Warning
{ Tip: Suggested by Audrey who commented below: Also, make sure you have your parent selected... You don't want to kill your teen! :o } PLEASE NOTE: You MUST SPELL IT EXACTLY AS-IS...  for example, there IS a space between "_buff" and "buff_",  and there is NO space between anything else, even  "_ElderExhaustion_"
IMPORTANT: That'll make the parent die almost immediately, however this also causes any Sims in the family to become sad. Therefore, please DO NOT count this sadness when tallying up your points at the end of the challenge.  (UPDATE   4/10/15 -- suggested by Audrey who commented below) :
Tip: To get rid of the sad moodlet, after above code is done... use:
            sims.remove_all_buffs
              *********************************
               RUNAWAY TEEN CHALLENGE

                THE RULES:
              *********************************
( Again... In This Version: I have specially created , Difficulty Levels, + points and changed a few things to either make it flow better, or make it more/less challenging where needed. ) ---
(What You MUST or ARE ALLOWED To Do)
                • Lifespan must be set to "normal" (default).
                • Aging must be on.
                • Your Sim MUST start as a teen
                • You CAN shower and use the bathroom at any public place, like the gym, for example.
                • You CAN'T go to school. You have to "cancel" the going to school action each day. This will not effect traits.
                • Yes, you MAY use the resetSim  cheat if your Sim gets "stuck" in an interaction, or somewhere around town
                •  Only If your social meter gets low...  you CAN interact with children or other teens, but NOT adults.
                • Garden pots/ Garden Planter Boxes, Easels ARE Allowed even before your Sim becomes a young adult and have a home (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath ). Those items still fit (in my opinion) within the spirit of the challenge (gardening is allowed, and painting (for money) is used something a Runaway could easily do in real life).
                 (What You CAN'T Do)
                • NO JOB until you've become a young adult and have a home (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath ) ---( you're Sim is homeless until then )
                • NO ITEMS THAT REQUIRE ELECTRICITY: You cannot have any electronics, appliances, or cell phone access (put it on silent) until you have a home (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath ).
                • You CAN'T build any kind of shelter for yourself until you have earned the Simoleans to do so, and become a young adult.
                • You CAN'T cook/shower/ect. on other peoples lots or interact with adults until you are a young adult. { Imagine that since you're a runaway they'll report you as such.}
                • Absolutely NO potions allowed
                • Potion traits, purchased traits, other unnatural traits, or anything that changes moods unnaturally ARE NOT allowed.
                • Absolutely NO ITEMS THAT changes a Sim's mood (like a mood-lamp)
                • You DON'T have to pay bills until you're a young adult and have a house.
                • You may NOT move into anyone's house.
                • You may NOT use any of the Reward Points you receive.
                • (UPDATE 11/2/14) NO Bed  (sleep on a bench) until you have a home. (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath)
                • NO Shower  + NO Toilet until you have a home. (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath) (UPDATE 5/10/15) Remember: You CAN shower and use the bathroom at any public place, like the gym, for example.
                • NO Refrigerator until you have a home. (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath)
                • (UPDATE 11/1/14) Grills ARE NOT allowed (there are grills in every neighborhood, on public lots)
                • NO Stove until you have a home.  (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath)
                • NO Candles until you have a home.  (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath)
                • NO Cheats/ NO mods except for the "Money Cheat" (Only when reducing your initial cash to 0, or deducting $10 from your funds per time you travel), "resetSim Cheat", or a  phone mod (for example: CC such as the "buyable pond" is NOT o.k.)
                • (UPDATE 11/2/14) NO Telescope until you have a home.  (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath)
                • (UPDATE 11/2/14) NO Microscope until you have a home.  (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath)
                •  Try hard NOT to interact with others unless your social meter gets low.
However, If your social meter gets low, you CAN interact with children or other teens, but NOT adults.
                • So NO phone until you have a home (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath ).  (Sims use their phone to browse the internet, play games etc., so if you see this action it must be canceled immediately.)  (side note: If you have a mod to stop the action, that's o.k, and it will be the only mod allowed in this challenge. Here's one: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=536411
Going To School:  As for the child going to school, teens DON'T HAVE TO go to school, and it appears (in all the times I've played this challenge) that the same applies to children, even after the parent is no longer present.  The Social Worker: In Sims 4, it seems that missing school doesn't make the Social Worker show up, or take children away.  However babies do seem to need to be taken care of.
                  *********************************  RUNAWAY TEEN CHALLENGE
                    PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:
                  *********************************
THINGS BECOME 100% NORMAL WHEN:  You can start working toward life goals (2kids, good job, aspiration) only when you level-up to become a young adult, and AFTER you have a home (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath ).   BUILDING a HOUSE:  You can build your 1st home (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath )  ONLY AFTER you level-up to become a young adult.
NO SCHOOL EVER:  To keep the runaway vibe of the challenge, your Sims(s) are NOT allowed to ever go to school (they've dropped out and run away). You must succeed without an education.
WHEN TO:   (ONLY AFTER YOUR SIM BECOMES A YOUNG ADULT ) -- According to the rules, UNTIL your Sim is at the very least, a Young adult, and has a home (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath ) they ARE NOT ALLOWED to do the following.... (other restrictions are, for the most part, designed to keep the spirit of the challenge):    NOT ALLOWED to have any electronics (including cell phone), buy a Bed, buy a Shower + Toilet, buy a Refrigerator, Telescope, Microscope, Stove + Candles. (UPDATE   6/7/15 -- Reminded to mention by Alex Hefel who commented below) :     HOW TO TRAVEL (when the phone can't be used)? Well... I found that you can travel by scrolling to the edge of the neighborhood, + clicking the mouse when it turns to a magnifying glass, or simply by pressing "M" on your keyboard.

                • Each time you travel, you MUST subtract $10 Simoleans from your funds. You have to purchace landscaping items totaling approximately $10, or use the Money cheat, deduct $10 from your funds per time you travel.

                   $$$ ** THE MONEY RULES ** $$$ (What You CAN'T do money-wise)
                  • You CAN'T have a part time job.... You CAN'T have a full time job until you are a young adult and have a home (at least 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, + 1 bath ).
(What You ARE ALLOWED TO, or even ARE REQUIRED TO do money-wise)
                  • You CAN fish all you want, and even sell it.
                  • You CAN garden all you want, and even sell it.
                  • You CAN dig all you want, and even sell it.
                  • You CAN travel.   ----->>SO HOW DO YOU TRAVEL  (when the phone can't be used)? Well... I found that you can travel by scrolling to the edge of the neighborhood, + clicking the mouse when it turns to a magnifying glass.
                  • Each time you travel, you MUST subtract $10 Simoleans from your funds. You have to purchace landscaping items totaling approximately $10, or use the Money cheat, deduct $10 from your funds per time you travel.
VERY IMPORTANT: As New Expansion Packs, Updates, Etc. Are Released , These Rules May Make Less Sense Due To The Changes, Additions, Or Subtractions Made To The Game. Due To This Fact, You'll Need To Rely More And More On Common Sense To Help Guide What Should And Shouldn't Be Allowed or Not Allowed In This Challenge In Order To Keep In Line With The General Spirit Of The Challenge.
                    *********************************
                     FINISHING THE CHALLENGE (Goals):
                    *********************************
                    The challenge is over when:

                  BLACK WIDOW CHaLLENGE

Welcome to the "BLACK WIDOW CHALLENGE"one of the best Sims 4 challenges out there.

                  SETTING UP:

(A Quick Note About Gender Preferences For This Challenge: Yes, of course, you can play this challenge as any gender you choose to, and by the same token, you can also marry any gender you choose, so please change anything referring to man, male, he, or him... to woman, female, she, or her (and vice versa) according to your preference of how you want to play this challenge.  The rules should still make perfect sense (for anybody wondering). Good luck with this challenge.

                • Life span must be set to normal.  Start off with one Young Adult Sim. Give her the following 3 traits... materialistic, snob, and romantic.  The aspiration has to be "Love" with a sub-category being The Serial Romantic.  Move her into a lot/house and get her settled. NO Money cheats allowed!!!

                •  Meet a Sim and build your relationship until you can get married (All marriage should have a formal party, it's not a requirement though... it just add to the realism.)

                • Have a Dinner party to show you're the perfect wife. (The Dinner party must at least reach a rating of "silver".)

                • After the party, find a new romantic interest, and...

                • move them in.

                • Then, get caught cheating (ie. make sure your current hubby is very close/near-by, while getting "Romantic" with the new guy.)

                • Kill off the Husband, marry again (to the new guy) + inscribe the tombstone with: {his name} “Died by Black Widow”

                • Repeat this over again until you have 10 graves or more / 10 of  them have died. Simple Right? maybe ....maybe not.

                • Simply do so while following the "Rules" seen below.

                  • Hold on, before you start thinking its impossible... It"s not.  I want you to know it's not easy,  it's a Challenge... so it's not supposed to be. Also, I've created different difficulty levels, so you can definitely beat this challenge (on Novice, Normal, Specialist, or Legendary. Just choose a difficulty level at the bottom of page --- or just use the Normal rules (seen just below).

********************************* BLACK WIDOW CHALLENGE  THE RULES:   *********************************

1st Option:   You can choose to move into your husbands' houses. Keep all tombstones on the lot. You may even want to build an urn room.

Remember, a "haunted house", in effect, is formed as you accumulate all the tombstones on your lot.

                  OR

2nd Option:   Don't move into your husbands' houses. I really don't see why it would matter much to stay in just one house.  NOTE: Please remember to keep track of all the killings, when using the 2nd option, because counting the tombstones at any time wouldn't be possible any more.

                  ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
                  AFTER CHOOSING AN OPTION,
FOLLOW THE LIST OF RULES BELOW
                  ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
                      • Life-span must be set to normal
                      • Stop aging on all households, except yours.
                      • No mods or cheats.
                      • Absolutely NO Money cheats allowed!!!
                      • You may use the resetSim  cheat if your Sim gets "stuck" in an interaction or somewhere around town
                      • You can have as many love interests at the same time as you wish
                      • Having Kids is your own choice, but you can earn extra points (seen below) by having them
                      • The Black Widow may not have a job, all money must be earned by the men she targets.(exception: She is allowed to earn money by selling collectables that she finds... but only before she's married. )
                      • Only marry single men.  However, If you want to marry a married man, the only way allowed is to simply click on a household, and delete all other household members except for him. This is because of a glitch that makes it so that money will not transfer with a sim to your house if they previously had a family in their house (If a patch changes this, then you are allowed to ignore this rule).
                      • During the killing, don't leave the lot if you're choosing to kill by confining person to room etc. (leaving somehow allows them to escape) maybe a patch will eventually fix this.
                      • No repairing items, only the replacements of broken items are allowed
                      • Must max out Cooking skill
                      • Must max out Charisma skill

VERY IMPORTANT: As New Expansion Packs, Updates, Etc. Are Released, These Rules May Make Less Sense Due To The Changes, Additions, Or Subtractions Made To The Game. Due To This Fact, You'll Need To Rely More And More On Common Sense To Help Guide What Should And Shouldn't Be Allowed or Not Allowed In This Challenge In Order To Keep In Line With The General Spirit Of The Challenge.

                  *********************************
                  INTRO
                  *********************************

You have been committed to a run down mental health facility against your will. In order to prove that you are fit to rejoin society and earn your freedom, you must achieve the goal your psychiatrist has set for you – COMPLETE 2 SKILLS while living in house full of 7 other crazy Sims that you aren't allowed to to control or help in any way.

                  O.k.!..
You need to achieve your goal as quickly as possible; complete your skills while staying happy and keeping the other 7 asylum inmates alive. Add to that budget cutbacks leading to a lack of decent furniture and limited supplies, and your task gets harder.

Starting Out- Step 1 (Creating The Sim You'll Be Playing.)

                  - Create your Sim in CAS.
                  - They must be a Young Adult.
                  - You may choose any traits you desire, but one trait must be insane.
                  - The skills you choose are up to you, but the "Handiness" trait can't be chosen.

Starting Out- Step 2 (The Other 7 Sims)

                  - Create 7 other Sims. They can be an Adult or Young Adult.
                  - All inmates must have Insane or Gloomy traits.
                  - Creating some opposite traits are advised to spice things up. (example: happy/evil).

                  INTRO (continued)
                  *********************************

                  - The 8 Sims cannot be related.
                  -  You can't play the other 7 Sims.
(...You can't click on their picture, you can't play them or control them in any way. They cannot get jobs, and they cannot leave the Asylum. )

Starting Out- Step 3 (Building The Lot)

-Build the Asylum on a residential lot.
                  -Any design you like.
-It can be one story tall, or even multiple stories tall
-The design doesn't matter at all,but
-However, you can NOT use money cheats to build it (ex: Motherlode, Kaching).

                  LIVING Off The GRID

Welcome to one of the best challenges out there... the "LIVING Off The GRID challenge".

[CREDIT MUST BE GIVEN: ..... A link directly to this challenge ( which should begin with: http://sims4challengesrules.blogspot.com ) must be displayed on any page you post this... even in a Youtube description. *********************************
                  INTRO:
                  *********************************

The Easiest Way To Imagine It Is The Following...

                  Just Imagine It Like This...

If the power went off in most peoples house right now (not a Prepper's house, and if you had no generator, batteries, or any ability to use powered items; ie. a phone), what would you be left with that was usable, and what might you have to do to survive?

The Concept, Or The Spirit Of The Challenge :
Imagine  that your Sim is so against depending on "the grid", that they've consciously taken all steps to remove all electric devices, etc. from their home. They don't even want solar panels or any kind of generator. I know, this is kind of extreme, but they've actually decided to live so free of electricity that the early 1800's comes to mind.

That's the spirit of the challenge in a nut shell.

                  STARTING OUT:

Lifespan must be set to normal.  In CAS create one Sim (male/female).  Make him/her a Nature aspiration, Subcategory  Freelance Botanist.

Build a starter house, making no bathroom.   The bathroom is to be an outhouse, with the cheapest toilet and shower. Furnish the house as you wish, but with nothing using electricity.  No stove is be added, you can only cook outdoors (grill). The Kitchen should almost be none existent. No refrigerator is allowed.

                  (Update- 11/21/14)
PLAYING AS A FAMILY: (ie, playing with a Sim, Sim's spouse, and maybe even Sim's children) (Playing as a family was suggested by cultures on the forums ).

If you choose to start a family, that's perfectly fine. I don't see how that would interfere with the challenge, except it may make it either harder or easier, depending on whether you utilize the other household members to do things or not (like finding collectibles).

For example (not required for you), after I officially play-tested it, I then played it with a family, but without keeping points, just for fun, and I had my Sim garden, and her hubby fish (at the same time). Playing it like this was easier than playing it alone because my Sim had help completing the required tasks.

Family Rules + Points: When I created the rules for this challenge, I never really thought about the family aspect, so there are no specific points or rules associated with them (at this time).

                  LIVING Off The GRID challenge

                  RULES:
                  *********************************
                  • Lifespan must be set to "normal" (default).
                  • Aging must be on.
                  • They must start as an Young Adult.
                  • You may use the resetSim  cheat if your Sim gets "stuck" in an interaction or somewhere around town
                  • NO ITEMS THAT REQUIRE ELECTRICITY (UPDATE- 10/25/14): exception a small battery powered radio IS allowed - suggested by SimsShoe )
                  • (UPDATE- 11/7/14) Bedtime is now 9 P.M {closer to actual TS4 sundown}.  (This bedtime is because there will be no lights, and only sunlight for your daily activities. Please Note: By going to sleep early; 9 P.M, your Sim should also, naturally, wake up earlier.
(UPDATE 11/1/14) By using a cheap bed your Sim should sleep longer and not wake up at  midnight, or 2.am, etc. -  idea by @ImaginingMystic)
                  • (UPDATE- 10/25/14) Whenever your Sim wakes up is to be considered the start of your day if you can't get them to go back to sleep.
                  • NO job/career You may earn money any other way you can think of  (for example: painting).
                  • Buy a microscope NOT a telescope ( I'm going to assume this microscope is not electric).  I think you may like + need it  (a microscope has the added ability to make a Sim become "Focused". Becoming "focused" makes a Sim able to complete tasks  + skills quicker + also learn quicker).
                  • NO telescope because it's electric. (Exception) If your Sim has a whim to have a telescope well.... this is the only exception to the no electricity rule. (a telescope has the added ability to make a Sim become "Focused".  Once again, becoming "focused" makes a Sim able to complete tasks  + skills quicker + also learn quicker.
                  • NO cheats/ No mods (for example: CC such as the buyable pond, however, clothing cc is fine., a phone mod, like the one mentioned below, is fine.)
                  • You DO  have to pay bills.
                  • You may NOT move in with anyone.
                  • You may NOT not use any of the Reward Points you receive.
                  • (Update- 10/23/14) Refrigerator is NOT allowed.
                  • A grill CAN be used for food
                  • NO stove
                  • NO phone (Sims use their phone to browse the internet, play games etc., so if you see this action it must be canceled immediately.)  (side note: If  you have a mod to stop the action, that's o.k, and it will be the only mod allowed in this challenge. Here's one: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=536411 )
                  • Coolers CAN be used since coolers are indeed used when the power goes out. Also, because coolers don't use electricity either.
                  •  (Update- 3/2/2015 suggested by  chococat9 ) Candles CAN be used because people w/o electricity would definitely use them even if they did go to bed early. Also, because they don't use electricity.
                  •  (Update- 4/19/15 ) Oil Lamps CAN be used because people w/o electricity would definitely use them even if they did go to bed early. Also, because they don't use electricity.
                  • (UPDATE- 9/27/16) You are allowed to have a piano, violin and/or a guitar (because if Sims get bored, playing music often works). Please Note: The problem is that... with all the things that will need to be done during this challenge, which can get kind of "challenging" at times, finding time to play instruments will only make it even more "challenging".
Outdoor Retreat: You don't need to get the "Outdoor Retreat" plants. I wrote this challenge before that game pack was released.  In Granite Falls there are several plants that could be gathered to complete the challenge,You really don't have to travel though.

(Update- 10/26/14)  SO HOW DO YOU TRAVEL THEN (when the phone can't be used)? Well... I found that you can travel by scrolling to the edge of the neighborhood, + clicking the mouse when it turns to a magnifying glass, or simply press "M" on your keyboard.

TipThe trick with some plants is to take a cutting asap, and graft it onto a plant you own. "Carl's" e-guide comes highly recommended as it's the guide that helped me collect all the plants and also teaches you all the secrets of gardening better in the game.

Remember, if you can get your Sim "focused" your Sim will garden faster, and learn skills faster, so you can complete it in time. There are lots of things in the world to control this emotion.
FOR HELP WITH THIS CHALLENGE:  Please use "Carl's" e-guide at  http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/skills/gardening/
